Welcome to MCforADHD web page.

This site is dedicated to scientific information on the benefits of Cannabinoids on ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, including the improvement of chronic symptoms like impulsivity, anxiety, lack of attention, depression, drug abuses tendencies and death / suicidal ideations. It is a fact that thousands of diagnosed, or undiagnosed ADHD people, all over the world, independently of local national laws, use cannabis as an alternative medication to standard medications (methylphenidate, anxiolytics, antidepressant, benzodiazepines, ...).

The actual situation regarding the medical use of cannabis active constituents (cannabinoids : THC, CBD, CBG, ...) for treating ADHD is extremely different depending on countries. Some countries like Canada, The Netherlands, Spain, and 12 US States (including California), tolerate the medical use of cannabis for a variety of conditions , including ADHD[1] and other mental disorders like Bipolar Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorders. In those countries, it is possible for ADHD patients to obtain a prescription for medicinal cannabis with the approval, and control, of a doctor. In other countries, medicinal cannabis is strictly prohibited by national laws and therapeutic bebefits denied.

Aim of this web site is to inform doctors, researchers as well as patients, or any individual interested in that field : why and how phyto-cannabinoids act in the brain? It is astonishing to see how far the different sciences (pharmacology, genetic, neuro-immunologie, psychiatry, nutrition, ...) have been to date, and how complementary they are to finally understand the complex ADHD condition and symptoms related.

The actual state of the art suggests that the endocannabinoid system, the human one, with its endocannabinoids, is extremely closely involved in ADHD chronic symptoms. Adressing this system by the way of a "biologicaly compatible" plant takes all its sense ....
